celebrate david's birthday with him! yup, on sunday, april 11, matt's step-father turned 62!!!
so how do you celebrate turning 62? by going to huntington park, to watch the clippers play some minor league ball. this was another first for me, since i'd never been to a live baseball game....what? national pasttime? uhh...you know i'm more of a football fan! and most of you who know me know that i'm not a huge baseball fan, but since it was such a nice day, and such a nice stadium, and i was with wonderful people, and the team won, i had a really great time! i think david had a good time too, since i'm pretty sure david enjoys all sports and knows pretty much everything about every one of them.
after watching the game -- and david's birthday message on the big score board -- we headed to easton for dinner at the cheesecake factory. initially, we wanted to eat outside, but no one had outdoor dining available (as in, the tables were all full!), so we had to "settle" for a tasty dinner and super-yummy cheesecake inside instead (darn!). then, to burn off some calories and take advantage of the lovely day, we strolled around outside for a while before saying a few final happy birthdays and our goodbyes.
