a day in the life of lexi:
-sleep at the foot of the bed until mom gets home from work
-help mom wake dad up
-eat breakfast with mom & dad
-lay outside and chew on my rawhide bone, bark at the neighbors if necessary
-help dad pack his lunch, then say goodbye to him for the day
-lay on the tile floor while mom takes a shower/gets ready for bed
-chew on one of my toys
-sleep at the foot of the bed until dad calls to wake mom up
-chew on a noisy chew toy to make sure mom's awake
-lay around the house until it's time for a walk
-chew on a chew toy
-eat dinner with mom and dad
-beg to go outside, then back in, repeatedly until mom and dad finish their dinner
-lay around the house until i feel it necessary to get a big drink of water and slobber all over everything/everyone (wait until they dry my face, and repeat as many times as possible)
-go upstairs with dad (maybe mom, too, if she's not working) to go to sleep at the foot of the bed, while they get to sleep IN it
oh, and on sundays i get to go to puppy class and see evelyn, my trainer, who helps mom and dad teach me how to be a "well-behaved young lady" as mommy says.
yes, lexi's life is very hard. she reminds us of this frequently with her big mopey eyes and pathetic doggie sighs of exasperation. she is nearly done with her second set of obedience classes now, only a few more before she graduates! she has learned many new tricks and behaviors that will be VERY helpful around the house. the other new thing lexi got to try recently was doggie daycamp at petsmart. she spent the whole day running and playing with other dogs while matt and i got the house ready for my birthday party. needless to say, by the time we picked her up she was a worn-out little pup! she was perfect for the party, she didn't have any energy to act up! her are a few pics of her doing what she does best...chewing on things, looking pathetic, and playing at daycamp.
