8 weeks

our baby girl is growing and changing every day, i'm struggling to keep up with these posts!  in addition to spending more and more time awake, our sweet girl has also surprised us by rolling over from front to back several times already.  i'm sure this is mostly just a fluke, but she's probably done it 8 times or so.  jeeze!  she also has excellent head and neck control and loves to look around and see what's going on around her.  she's started to enjoy being in the bouncy seat more (she previously didn't like it at all), and she's been spending some time on the activity mat and is starting to interact with the toys on it :)
samantha also surprised me this month by smiling for the very first time!  her first smiles were on october 2nd, but i wasn't able to capture them on camera until the 6th.  she has the sweetest gummy grin!  and now that's she's figured out how to smile, she enjoys giving smiles out whenever she can.  yay!

                  
the only not-so-good news this month was that at her 2 month appointment the pediatrician said she hadn't gained as much weight as dr. ezekial wanted her to gain.  so i've been trying to encourage her to eat more, and more often, but sammy seems content to eat what she wants and sleep the rest of the time.  otherwise, she's very healthy and happy! now, what you really came to see....pictures! :D
