CookieFest

we got together for the annual miller (king, childers, proctor) CookieFest on the 16th.  we were able to host at our house this year and we had a ton of fun!  the cousins all got to play together while the dads watched football (and the kids), and the rest of us worked on cookies.  and even though it wasn't ideal "CookieFest weather" (i.e. cold, fire-in-the-fireplace and hot chocolate kind of weather), the fact that it was around 70 degrees was actually not a bad thing since the kids got to play at the park across the street during the first part of the day. we had plenty of helpers to assist with putting m&m's on cookies, rolling snickerdoodles in cinnamon & sugar, smashing rolos on pretzels, and icing sugar cookies.  it was such a great time and we ended up with a ton of tasty treats!  can't wait to do it again next year....but after all the work that went into planning, baking, decorating, cleaning, etc... i'm glad we've got another year to get ready ;)
