| jonah's 2nd birthday |
on sunday we celebrated jonah's second birthday. sarah & ray hosted a wonderful party at their house with a bug theme for the little birthday boy. we had themed foods (see pics) and enjoyed the gift opening and, the sarah special, a slideshow all about jonah! after the party mom, dad (aka: grandma sharon & papa john) and i took liv & jonah out on lake lavon on the boat. it was a little cool, but lots of fun and the kids had a great time. as the sun went down, we headed ashore, packed up the boat and headed home for a fire in the fireplace and hot chocolate. yum!
we celebrated again on jonah's actual birthday, the 21st, with the whole family at mom & dad's house. we enjoyed dinner, cake, and another singing of happy birthday (much to jonah's enjoyment!). we were actually supposed to get to watch the plano east homecoming parade (that runs up mom & dad's street), but it was cancelled because of the all-day, non-stop rain. bummer :( jonah didn't seem to mind, though.
